How to create a Cart goals product recommendation?

The Cart Goal Product Recommendations widget suggests extra items in the cart to help customers reach the milestones shown on their progress bar.

You can only enable this widget when a Cart Goals Discount is active in DealUp. This ensures recommended products directly help customers achieve their discount goals.

Step 1: Create an Offer with DealUp

 
Follow these steps to set up a new offer in DealUp:
  1. In the Cart goals section, choose Create for the Cart goals product recommendation option.

  2. Click on Create Campaign button.

  3. Create an internal title for your reference; this will be hidden from customers in DealUp.

Step 2: Setting Up Your DealUp Recommendations

Select the recommendation type you would like to use from these three options:

  • Shopify AI

    • Shopify AI lets you choose between displaying Related or Complementary products.

    • For complementary recommendations, configure your settings in the Shopify Search and Discovery app. DealUp will automatically apply those settings.

  • Manual Selection

    • Use this option to manually select the specific products you want to recommend.

  • Both Shopify AI and Manual Selection

    • This option combines both methods. You can manually pick products to recommend while the system simultaneously adds AI-generated suggestions.

Step 3: Configure Extra Settings (Optional)

Exclude products already in the cart: Enable this setting to prevent the cart recommendation widget from suggesting items the customer has already selected.

Maximum products to recommend: You can also set the number of products DealUp displays when using Shopify AI.
