DealUp Analytics: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Optimize your store performance with the DealUp Analytics Dashboard. This guide covers everything you need to know about tracking conversions, understanding Average Order Value (AOV), and interpreting data accuracy.
1. What does the Store AOV graph track?
The Store AOV (Average Order Value) metric visualizes the average total of all orders placed in your store during a specific timeframe.
This metric includes:
-
All completed transactions.
-
Orders influenced by the app and those that were not.
-
Both full-price and discounted orders.
The Formula:
This is a high-level metric designed to reflect your store's total health, rather than just app-specific performance.
3. Why is "Conversion Value" hidden for Cart Goal Offers?
We do not record specific conversion values for Cart Goal Offers, such as:
-
Tiered Cart Discounts
-
Free Shipping thresholds
-
Free Gift with Purchase
The Reason:
These discounts are applied at the cart level rather than to a specific product. To maintain data integrity, we exclude these from individual conversion values. If we included them, the entire cart value would be attributed to a single offer, leading to inflated and misleading ROI reporting.
4. Why is there a discrepancy between App Conversion and Offer Conversion?
You may notice a slight difference between the Overall App Conversion Value and an Individual Offer Value when an order-level discount is active. This is due to how Shopify handles attribution.
How Shopify Processes Discounts:
Shopify distributes order-wide discounts (like a 10% sitewide coupon) proportionally across every item in the cart.
Because Shopify’s checkout system controls this distribution, the app reports the final adjusted value to ensure your revenue tracking matches your actual bank deposits.
5. Does deleting an offer erase its data?
No. Your historical data is safe. When an offer is deleted:
-
All past performance metrics remain in your dashboard.
-
The offer is removed from the "Top Performing Offers" list to keep your current view clean.
-
Historical conversion data is not deleted.
