DealUp ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Bundle, BOGO & Gift — DealUp application (the "App") for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your personal information and the data of your customers when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify store.

1. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Merchant Information: We collect your name, email address, shop URL (myshopify.com domain), and shop settings (currency, timezone) to properly configure the App and sync your analytics dashboard.
Customer Data: To provide advanced discount functionality (such as Volume, BOGO, Free Gifts, and Tiered discounts), the App processes limited customer data. This includes items currently in the cart, order subtotals, customer IDs or tags (strictly to verify specific customer eligibility for targeted discounts), and finalized order webhooks (to track discount usage and savings).
Device Information: We may collect information about the device and browser you use to access the App interface, such as your IP address and browser type, for analytics and security purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. This includes:

Calculating and applying accurate automated discounts seamlessly in the cart and at checkout via Shopify Functions.
Processing order data to generate accurate dashboard analytics (e.g., offer usage counts, conversion values, and total discount savings).
Verifying your installation status and ensuring the frontend widgets load efficiently.
Providing customer support and troubleshooting technical issues.
Improving and optimizing our App's performance and features.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data or your customers' data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

With Shopify: To power the App's native integration with the Shopify platform, Checkout, and Functions API.
Legal Requirements: If required to comply with applicable laws or regulations, or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful requests for information.

4. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data.

Since we act as a processor on behalf of the Merchant, end-customers should contact the Merchant directly to exercise these rights. Merchants can uninstall the App to cease data collection.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
